From a young age sport has been a huge part of Carlos’s life. He started riding a motorbike when he was 3 years old and started competing when the was 5. For the next 10 years he raced and competed on the bikes. A few too may surgeries and other injuries led Carlos to ease of the competition throttle but but no means the other sports. After he stopped competing he continued riding, driving karts, boxing, skating, golfing, surfing, climbing and doing all kind of sports.
This all continued until 2009 when he did his first tandem, and, as with many of us was hooked.
One year later, after working and saving as much as he could he did his first AFF jump. In the first few years he was not able to jump a lot and by 2013 he only had 47 jumps. The dream of working on a DZ full time felt a far off dream and struggled to build the courage to make the leap of faith to quit his job and go full time in the sport.
This was about to change, and change fast.
On one jump he got knocked unconscious in freefall and woke up 12hrs later in hospital. After 8 weeks on the ground with plenty of time to reflect & contemplate what the next chapter of his life was going to look like we has even more fired up to the back in the air and determined to take that leap to go full time in the sport.
More planning, dreaming, jumping & saving lead to Carlos quitting his job in 2016 with 300 jumps under his belt. He started filming tandems and training more in the sky. His life had changed, and for the better.
In 2017 he begun work in the Hurricane factory which enabled him help all the new skydivers to understand the how to progress in the sport in a safe, efficient way, whilst of course having lots of fun along the way.
The next four years was a whirl wind. He become a tandem & AFF instructor, took load organising courses and begun organising at a number of events around Spain.
Carlos has not looked back.
”After all this time studying, learning and working I was sure that I wanted to continue coaching all my life.”
“I love exploring the understanding of how your body works in the air and how you can use your muscles to create movement. I still have lots of fun with the training and I love sharing the information I am learning to help make the community bigger and better.”
