Loves: Seeing people develop, it is incredibly special when younger people in the sport progress and grow. Teaching people, especially youngsters, to become national champions and go on to world champion has been amazing.
Dario first became infected in 1982: not with COVID, but with the passion for all things skydiving.
Dario’s journey began with a static line jump in Switzerland and he has not looked back since. He and his wife Conny, who (usurpingly) met on the DZ, did a huge number of jumps as a tandem & video pair. They have done thousands of AFF jumps together, and have two boys Sebastiano & Stelio. Stelio is multiple 4way National Champion indoor & outdoor. Sebastiano was on the Head-up World record in Chicago. Clearly they were conceived with the same infection Dario has, and share their Mum’s and Dad’s passion for the sport. Quite a family.
Dario has been on multiple FS Big way world records and sequential records all over the world and has National Bigway and National Sequential records. He has organised events around the globe and is looking forward to running Mountain Gravity again soon: fingers crossed for 2022. Mountain Gravity has to be one of the most picturesque events in Europe if not globally. Be sure to keep your eyes peeled for this event https://www.mountaingravity.ch.
‘This is a sport where there are limits. We should learn to know where the limits are and go to them but never go beyond them… It’s much better not to push past these limits and get to do it again and again… We can keep it safe and be able to keep doing it. We’ve lost too many friends seeing them pushing beyond the limits……
‘Sometimes you come across a jumper with 200 jumps who is so much more aware than someone with 2,000 jumps. With increased awareness comes so much more fun and usually incredible progression…’

‘You need to invest time and money to become a better Skydiver – to have better technique. It is important to be current and jump regularly, keep an open mind, have specifics to work on.
‘Yes, the sport has an amazing community, but there is something more than that, it is a family also.’
